Kids can make this colourful, custom artwork to decorate their bedroom or playroom.
Cardboard tubes (the ones that hold aluminum foil and plastic wrap are great)
Acrylic craft paint
Primer (if you’re using an old painting as your canvas)
1. For this piece, we took an old thrift-shop painting, and we primed it and then we gave it 2 coats of white acrylic craft paint.
2. Pour various colours of paint into shallow containers and jar lids.
3. Kids can dip the ends of the cardboard tubes into the paint and stamp them all over their canvas.
Treehouse tip: To prevent the children from mixing up the paint colours, dip each end of the cardboard tubes into a paint colour, and ask your little one to match the tube to the colour paint before dipping.
This is a fun way to work on matching colours while creating a custom piece of art!
