Wax-Resist Art
Share

Bring an “invisible” drawing to life with this “magically appearing” wax-resist art technique. It's unbelievably simple and so much fun it's addictive. Kids find it fascinating, and the results are always beautiful.

You'll need

White crayon
Watercolour paper or white card stock
Water colour paints (liquid water colours are great for little ones)
Paintbrush

Directions

1. With your white crayon, draw a picture on the white paper.

2. Dip a wet paint brush into your watercolours, and glide the brush across your page to reveal your drawing.

Treehouse tip: Kids can use this process to make greeting cards, art, or as a way of writing invisible messages to each other!
