Rainy day? Let the light shine inside with these sun-themed crafts.

Here are five of our favorite sun themed kids craft projects.

"Hand-made" sun
Hand print projects are the cutest way to preserve just how little your children's hands and feet once were. This sun hand print project from Activity Village involves painting, tracing, cutting and sticking--all important skills for little hands to master before Kindergarten. Find the directions here.

Sunshine monoprints
These sunshine monoprints from Make and Takes are simple to make but have a big impact. String a bunch of them on some yarn or ribbon to make a lovely banner that celebrates summer. Find the directions here

Sun Catcher
Grate up those broken crayons at the bottom of the craft drawer to make one of these Wax Paper Sun Catchers from Morning Sun Rae. Kids will love looking at the sun reflecting through it at different times of the day. Find the directions here

A sunny scene made of sticks!
Craft sticks are a fun alternative to crayons and paper. This craft stick sun from Putti's World is a great starting point for a craft stick world! Think trees, flowers and people. Find the directions here

Sun weaving craft
While you have the craft sticks out, why not try this Sun Weaving from Naturally Education? Find the directions here.
