Fish Puppet

A craft from the Crazy Crafts DVD Collection

Materials:

  • 2 paper plates
  • Pencil
  • Tape/glue
  • Scissors
  • Crepe paper
  • Streamer
  • Stickers
  • Tissue paper
  • Crayons
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Construction paper

Put one paper plate face down on table,

Overlap second paper plate about halfway on top of first plate.

Trace curve of edge of second plate onto first plate.

Cut along this line. The big part of the cut plate becomes the fish's tail.

Attach tail so it is slightly over first plate with cut side facing out.

Cut fins from remainder of cut plate and attach to fish's body.

Cut thin strips from crepe paper streamer or tissue paper and tape to fish's tail.

Attach small circle from construction paper to front of fish for eye. Cut small triangle for the fish's mouth.

Overlap stickers on fish's body for scales.

Wrap small squares of tissue paper around flat end of pencil. Dip in glue, stick onto fish's tail, and remove pencil.

Decorate fish with crayons.

Glue popsicle sticks together to make long stick and tape to back of fish for puppet.
