What is the Treehouse Big Day Out 2 festival?

Treehouse Big Day Out 2 is an exciting festival experience for kids and families! Hosted by Treehouse, Canada's #1 preschool channel, the festival will feature the hottest names in kids entertainment including the "world's biggest preschool rock band", The Wiggles and Treehouse’s own award-winning Canadian children’s music duo, Splash’N Boots! With tons of activities such as face painting, character meet & greets, play areas and much much more, the whole family is sure to have a blast!

What are the dates for the Treehouse Big Day Out festival?

Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th, 2015, the festival will feature two ticketed events each day – from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where is the Festival?

At the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario. The beautiful outdoor venue sits along Toronto’s waterfront where the Ontario Place Forum was formerly located. The amphitheatre consists of about 5,500 covered seats and 3,500 uncovered seats.

** Please Note: Strollers are not permitted inside the amphitheatre but are permitted along the ‘Kids Zone’. For your convenience, a FREE ‘Stroller Valet’ will be available so you can roam the grounds freely.

Will the festival take place in other cities in Canada?

This year, the festival will only take place in Toronto, but future locations are being considered for 2016.  Look out for announcements for potential locations in a city near you next year.

Is there parking available?

There will be no free parking available at the event. Event parking is very limited and not guaranteed. Alternative parking is available at Exhibition Place, Direct Energy Centre, Fort York National Historic Site, or in the Liberty Village area (10 – 15 min walk from the venue).

How much does it cost and where can I buy tickets?

There’s an experience for everyone with our array of ticket prices. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster locations, through Ticketmaster.ca or by calling 855-985-5000.

Attendance at the Treehouse Big Day Out festival is FREE for children under 12 months of age. Tickets are required for anyone 12 months of age and over.

Is this a family friendly event?

Just like the Treehouse channel, this event is made for families! Kids will get to see some of their favourite Treehouse personalities and characters on stage and will be able to participate in a variety of family-friendly activities.

Will there be a lost children area?

Children who are separated from their parent or guardian will be encouraged to go to the first aid and lost children building located close to the entrance. Children can also approach event staff wearing ‘Treehouse Big Day Out’ T-shirts to be escorted to the tent.

Will this event be filmed?

Corus Entertainment will be video-recording and photographing at this event, including the audience/attendees, which may include you.

You agree that all video recordings and still photographs taken by or on behalf of Corus that include your face, voice and/or gestures, may be utilized by Corus for unlimited purposes and period of time.

What should we wear?

Since the festival takes place at an outdoor venue and will run rain or shine, please dress appropriately according to weather conditions. Sometimes there is a slight breeze being near the water so keep that in mind. It would also be a good idea to be prepared with hats, sunscreen and an umbrella.

What if it rains?

This event is rain or shine and the venue is mostly uncovered so please come dressed appropriately according to the weather conditions. There is a high-covered roof over seats in sections 100-300 and section 400 is under the open sky.

Is the venue stroller and wheelchair accessible?

The venue and activities are wheelchair accessible.

Strollers are not permitted inside the amphitheater but are permitted along the ‘Kids Zone’. For your convenience, a FREE ‘Stroller Valet’ will be available so you can roam the grounds freely.

Will there be food available for purchase?

Yes! Concession stands will be open during this event to purchase food from. Please note that there are ATMs available on site during the event. 

Where can I find a schedule of the days events?

Visit our website for our stage act schedule. Plus, from the moment you enter the festival until you leave, there will be activities off stage to partake in thought the ‘Kids Zone’.

Can I bring my dog on site?

No dogs or pets are allowed within the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre grounds.

What should we bring with us to the festival (allowed items)?

  • Cameras (without detachable lenses)
  • Cellphones (To Tweet and Instagram, of course!)
  • Ponchos (In the event of rain)
  • Sunscreen and Hat
  • Your Friends and Family
  • Energy and Enthusiasm

What are we NOT allowed to bring into the festival (Prohibited Items)?

  • Alcohol
  • Large Umbrellas / Lawn Chairs
  • Megaphones or air horns
  • Laser Pointers
  • Any Object that can be used as a Projectile or Weapon
